Georgia National Veterans Cemetery - You have to go visit!

I had the honor to arrange the services for another veteran at Georgia National Cemetery, in Canton, GA.  Today's services were for a WWII Army Nurse who traveled on military trains in Europe during the war helping service men after being injured.  Her story was quite amazing.  Being a very private person, as most veterans are, the family did not wish for her name to be used in any obituaries or death notices.  But her private service was, as most are at Georgia National, very moving.  When the Army Honor Guard folded her flag for the family, with precision, it gave me "chills" and when taps was played, it brought a mist to my eyes.

I am SO proud to be associated with an organization called Veterans Funeral Care and honored to be trained to assist veteran's families with military services and benefits.  In fact, we were chosen to Cobb County's only VFC affiliate.   I am also privileged to know and work along side the volunteers at the Georgia National Cemetery.  This group of volunteers are the most caring individuals you will ever meet.   The cemetery itself is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Georgia.  I highly recommend that you take a ride up to Canton and drive through the cemetery.  The bright white markers will take your breath away.  While you are there, say a prayer for all those who served our country proudly!
