Lark Alecia Moore, age 42, of Acworth, GA

Lark Alecia Moore was born on February 12, 1971 to Pamela and Anthony.  She was the oldest of two girls. 

 Lark received the Holy Sacrament of Baptism on Sept 22, 1974 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Detroit, Mich.  She later again received Christ as her Lord and Savior at Transfiguration Catholic church in Marietta, GA.

 Lark received her formal education through the Detroit Public School System.  After graduating from Cody High in 1989, that following summer of 89, Lark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and continued her education by receiving her Associates of Arts in Commercial Art in May of 1996 from the American College in Atlanta.  She continued her education by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (Cum Laude) in international Business in Sept of 2001 from the American Intercontinental University in Atlanta.  On May 17, 2009, Lark received her final degree, a Master of Science in Health Sciences from the George Washington University, Washington D.C.  She also received numerous certificates in research and health sciences programs.

 After her service to her Country as a Marine and serving in the Michigan Army National Guard for 18 years total, Lark was honorably discharged and retired from her Military Career with great pride.

 Lark began her civilian employment with Quintiles Laboratories in Atlanta as a Clinical Trial Researcher.  She was also employed as a Research Assistant with the Veteran’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan and held a brief employment with US Census Bureau as a Census Taker for Cobb County, GA.

 Lark’s passion was to expose her children to the fun of travelling and experiencing other cultures.  Her favorite was taking cruises, 7 in all onboard Carnival FunShips, with her “Babies” and family.  She loved dancing, especially to her favorite artist Michael Jackson.  She also loved her USMC, taking pictures, scrapbooking and playing tennis with The Pretty In Pink Tennis Club.

 After a long 10 year courageous battle with brain cancer, Lark peacefully departed this life at her home in Acworth surrounded by her loving children and family.

 Her maternal grandparents, Charles and Emily, paternal grandparents Sylvester and Marjorie, Aunt Sherry, Uncle Butch and cousin Pam Caston of Windsor, On all proceeds her in death.

 She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Pam (Otis), father Tony, her children Justin and Julia, a loving sister, Toni.  Four maternal aunts, 2 maternal uncles, 5 paternal aunts, 9 paternal uncles, 38 first cousins and a host of other cousins, family and friends (USMC, Coyle Street, Georgia family) as well as her loving extended family of Windsor, On Canada.

 A memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, 11 AM, at Transfiguration Catholic Church, in Marietta, GA.  An Internment Service will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery, where she will receive honors by the Marines.
