Ms. Lidia Maria Barreiro, age 97, of Acworth, born March 28, 1916-December 5, 2013. Ms. Barreiro was one of seven children born to the late Vincente Barreiro Persaud and Francisca Valdez Herrera, in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. She immigrated to the United States and became a citizen and lived in New York City for 65 yrs, until moving to Acworth with her family. She was a free spirit, loved to read and embark in new adventures at any age. She enjoyed being with friends and family and enjoyed life to the fullest. Ms. Barreiro is survived by many nieces and nephews in Cuba and in the United States. Her free and loving spirit will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 2 PM, at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services, 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101.
