Dec. 4th 1923-Dec. 20th 2013 - Marjorie Burns, 90, daughter of Charles and Pearl (Richards) Williams, formerly of Ridgewood N.J., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 20th at home in Sharpsburg, Ga. Mrs. Burns (nee Williams) met Jesus after a full life, and was mobile and lucid until her last breath. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Joseph H. Burns Jr., and a brother C. Donald Williams. A Ridgewood resident for 41 years, Mrs. Burns was born in Throop Pa., and is survived by her son Joseph H. Burns III and his wife Margot of Sharpsburg, Ga., Grandson Andrew and wife Rachel of Charleston SC, Grandson Matthew and fiancee Erica Plotner of Newnan, Ga, 2 great grand daughters Sophia, and Audry, and 6 nieces.
Marjorie graduated with her RN at Philadelphia Methodist Hospital (now Jefferson Med Ctr) in 1944 and also lived in Buffalo NY, Tucson Az., and Colorado Springs Co. Interment of cremains will be in Pa., at the families discretion. Any donations can be made to the American Heart Assn., or the American Cancer Society.
