You just had to be there to really believe what was going on.
Todd Love, a Georgia-born, third-generation Marine, nearly lost his life when he stepped on a pressure plate while on foot patrol in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in October 2010.
He has not let his obvious losses deter him from living a fuller life than most of us would ever dream of. He has participated in extreme games and has snowboarded his way into the spotlight.
Now because of friends and groups like Home Depot Foundation, Lincoln Property’s, Atlanta Falcons, Tunnels to Towers, Cobb Republican Women and many many more he is gettinga new home. And wow what a new home it will be.
The home is located on 10 acres of wooded land in Douglas County at 2100 block of Ridge road.
We were honored to be invited and to attend the celebration as this amazing young man slung himself up onto the seat of a back hoe and operated the equipment to knock down the first trees to prepare for excavation of the homes foundations.
Yes we there along with about 200 folk that included Veterans groups, Jr ROTC memmbers, U S Army Band members, family, friends, republican women, Cobb Countys Honorary Commanders members and members of the press to see the ground breaking and ceremony.
I hope you will try to keep up with the post about this amazing young marine and see what it is like to live life to the fullest.
