Look: Acworth Native in Marine Corps Training

Recruits of Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, completed the combat fitness test Aug. 6, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.

They include 19-year-old Dylan Daniels of Acworth, who is shown in the photo above being carried through part to the test that simulates a Marine carrying a casualty in combat.

The test, which simulates a wide range of physical challenges one might face in combat, evaluates strength, stamina, agility and coordination. The test is a graduation requirement and an annual training event for all Marines. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 23, 2013.
