North Cobb Student Tops in Competition

Other North Cobb students also earned top honors at the Georgia SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference.

A North Cobb High student will represent the state of Georgia this summer at the 49th Annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, Mo.

Daniel Kinslow earned a spot at nationals after winning the gold medal in the culinary arts division of the Georgia SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference, which was held March 21-23.

Other North Cobb students also earned top honors at the regional conference.

  • Kevan Massey and Ryan Atkinson won gold medals in mechanical drafting display.
  • Duncan Canady won the gold medal in career exploration manual 9th/10th grade.
  • Elliot Birkett won the silver medal in criminal justice.
  • LauraOlle, Matthew Olle and Morgan Hall won bronze medals in architectural drafting display.
  • Katie Masters won the bronze medal for architectural drawing.
  • Kyle Rinaudo, Florina Guraliuc, Josh Riddle and Paige Wagoner won bronze medals in broadcast news production.

The national competition is scheduled for June 24-28.
