Mrs. Joyce Watkins, 74, of Acworth, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the Chapel of Acworth United Methodist Church with Rev. James Gwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 North Main St., Acworth.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who had wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of Acworth United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bill Watkins; children, Susan (Jim) Pitner of Acworth, Billy (Cathy) Watkins of Cartersville, Bobby (Paula) Watkins of Acworth and Amy (Steve) Thompson of Acworth; siblings, Gail Black of Marietta, Wynona (Josh) Bryans of Powder Springs, Charles Parrish of Smyrna, Eddie (Donna) Parrish of Woodstock and Mary (Bill) Clements of Acworth; grandchildren, Ginny (Josh) Spears, James (Brittany) Pitner, Heather Bryans, Billy (Becky) Watkins, Rachel Bryans, Brock (Jessica) Watkins, Brooke (Duane) Loyd, Courtney (Ben) Tumlin, Robert (Cori) Watkins, and Jakob Watkins; great-grandchildren, Jackson Spears, Berkleigh Pitner, Will Watkins IV, Hunter Watkins, Hadley Watkins, Baby Girl Watkins, Baby Boy Pitner and Baby Boy Watkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
