Update: 10-Year-Old Boy Found Safe

Cobb police say Gyasi Francis, 10, who was missing for the second time, has been found and reunited with his family.

Gyasi Francis was located in a business by an employee around 1:30 a.m. today, and was then taken home where he was reunited with his family, according to the Cobb County Police Department. There were no signs of foul play and he was in good health.

A 10-year-old boy is missing in East Cobb three months after he caused a scare by disappearing Halloween night.

Gyasi Francis was last seen at his home on Powers Ferry Road about 8 p.m. Wednesday, spokesman Officer Mike Bowman said in an announcement.

Police ask anyone with information about Gyasi’s location to call 911 or the Crimes Against Children Unit at 770-801-3470.

Gyasi is 4-foot-8 and about 65 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He possibly is wearing jeans, a black coat and a red skullcap, Bowman said.

Police also asked for the public’s help in finding Gyasi on Nov. 1 after .

In that case, it turned out that the boy had been grounded but snuck out to go trick-or-treating. He then spent the night with a friend to avoid trouble at home.

Gyasi was brought home before school the next morning about an hour after police put out the alert that he was missing.
