911 Tapes in FedEx Shootings Released
"Tell my wife I love her. I'm losing energy really fast."- shooting victim Christopher Sparkman on the tapes.
Police have released a recording of the 911 call security guard Christopher Sparkman made during the April 29 shooting at the FedEx distribution facility in Kennesaw.
Sparkman, who had just been shot in the stomach by gunman Geddy Kramer, struggles to communicate with the operator on the call.
“Tell my wife I love her,” Sparkman can be heard on the tapes. “I’m losing energy really fast.”

In the background, screams can be heard as Kramer makes his way through the facility with a shotgun.
Kramer, who shot and wounded five others, eventually shot and killed himself.

Sparkman, of Acworth, has had five surgeries since the shooting and remains sedated at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Listen to the tapes from The AJC here.
