Man Who Drove Through House Charged

The man is still recovering and will not be arrested until his recovery is complete.

Shane Rainwater, 36, of Acworth, has been charged with reckless driving, speeding and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign and not wearing a seatbelt after

Rainwater drove drove a Honda through a split-level house on Cedar Mill Crossing, near Kellogg Creek Road.

Traffic investigators said Rainwater was traveling more than 70 mph in a 25 mph zone, according to a press release.

Rainwater has been released from the hospital, but is still recovering from his injuries. He will not be arrested until he is better.
