Pedestrian Hit by Car
Negin Efani, 19, was struck by a motor vehicle in Acworth this morning and received serious head injuries.
An Acworth woman was hit by a car this morning and suffered severe injuries, said Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 92 and Wabash Trail. The victim, Negin Efani, 19, received serious head injuries in the collision and was transported to Kennestone Hospital. The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Dalton Mason of Acworth, was cited for Striking a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the incident. Authorities say additional charges are likely.
