Reward Offered in Acworth Man's Case

A vehicle struck and killed 31-year-old Larry Ward in Cherokee County July 7.

Three months after an Acworth man was killed in a hit-and-run as he walked along Kellogg Creek Road in Cherokee County, Crime Stoppers has stepped up to offer a $4,000 reward in the case.

The Georgia State Patrol and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in locating the vehicle that struck and killed 31-year-old Larry Ward shortly after midnight July 7.

The Georgia State Patrol now believes, based on evidence at the scene, that the vehicle was a Ford F150 XL pickup truck, between model years 1992 and 1996. The color of the vehicle and the vehicle's tag number are unknown.

"Repair shops that may have repaired a vehicle with damage to the front grille area that matches the description are also asked to contact authorities," the GSP said in a statement.
