Shotgun Raffle Opens Monday to Benefit 'Shoot for the Horizon'

Public safety workers can compete in a shooting competition that the public is invited to watch as the Acworth Police Department supports the Horizon League.

Current and retired public safety workers can "Shoot for the Horizon" to help the Acworth Police Department raise funds for the Horizon League.

The public can enter a few of the raffles. They can also watch the police officers, sheriff's deputies, firefighters, district attorneys and all other public safety workers, who are on the job or retired, compete for prizes in the shooting contests.

Raffle tickets will go on sale on Monday, July 8, for a Weatherby SA-459 tactical shotgun donated by the firearms manufacturer. Tickets are $10, and the raffle is open to the public. The drawing will be on the competition date, but you don't need to be present to win.
