Warrant: Inmate Throws Urine at Cobb Deputy

He has been in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center for nearly two years.

By Rodney Thrash

A man who has spent 665 days in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on multiple armed robbery and carjacking charges is now accused of attacking a sheriff's deputy.

About 7 p.m. July 17, Joshua Shivers allegedly struck the deputy with a telephone hand set, according to an arrest warrant. He also threw urine on her as she walked by his cell, according to the deputy.

The warrant does not specify what, if anything, led to Wednesday's alleged incident.

Shivers faces charges that include obstruction and battery.
