The mayor and board of aldermen are set to meet Monday for public hearings and a work session and Thursday for second public hearings and regular business.

Acworth's mayor and board of aldermen are set to meet for a work session Monday and regular business Thursday, both at City Hall.

A public hearing is set for Monday at 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with the work session. On the agenda is an application by Fortney Sales Company to annex and rezone 5.24 acres of Heavy Industrial property from Cobb County to Acworth, according to the agenda. Public hearings on changes to the city's sign ordinance and comprehensive plan also are on the agenda.

The board is set to hold second public hearings and consider those items during its regular business session set for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The consent agenda includes approval or requests for city facilities.
