Acworth Mayor, Aldermen Meetings Cancelled for July 4
City offiices will be closed for the Fourth of July and sanitation services delayed a day.
Acworth's mayor and aldermen won't meet this week due to the Fourth of July 2013 holiday, which also will delay the city's sanitation schedule.
Monday's 6:30 work session has been cancelled and city offices will be closed Thursday, the night each week the mayor and aldermen usually meet for regular business.
The next work session is set for July 15 at 6:30 p.m. and regular business meeting, July 18, at 6:30 p.m. Both meetings take place at City Hall.
City offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, and its sanitation schedule delayed by one day.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday pickups will be performed as regulary scheduled, according to the city's website. The Thursday collection will be performed on Friday, July 5.
