Input Sought for NW Cobb Land Study

There will be a public meeting April 2 at the Acworth Health Park.

Cobb County wants your input, Acworth.

The Community Development Planning Division, in conjunction with Bartow and Paulding counties, is conducting a land vulnerability study in the northwest corner of Cobb County to examine, identify and modify incompatible land uses.

The study area primarily focuses on land use incompatibility along Cobb Parkway, from the Lake Allatoona Bridge to the Bartow County line, according to District 1 Commissioner Helen Goreham's weekly electronic update.

"Some of the issues facing this part of the county include commuter traffic, new and improved transportation facilities, new commercial developments and environmental factors related to sewer capacity and Lake Allatoona," Goreham said.

A public meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday,Β April 2, at Acworth Health Park, 4550 Cobb Pkwy. NW.

Among other things, residents will learn about existing conditions within the study area.
