Jobs Available at GDOL's Expo

Next week, the Georgia Department of Labor will help CarMax and Employment Seeker recruit worker in Cobb County.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help CarMax Auto Finance and Employment Seeker fill a number of jobs in Cobb County next week.

The GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta, will host a positive recruitment for Car Max on Monday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The company is recruiting about 10 employees to fill collection and customer service jobs at a call center in Kennesaw.

Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes, dress appropriately, and be prepared to interview. They are also encouraged to have at least six months of call center experience, be bi-lingual in English and Spanish, and have completed online pre-screening at www.carmaxautofinance.com/jobs prior to the event. The salary is $11.25 per hour.

On Thursday, Sept. 27, GDOL will assist Employment Seeker, a staffing agency, with a career expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre, located at Two Galleria Parkway.

The expo will feature about 30 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing present and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment. Applicants must apply online at www.employmentseeker.net, complete online pre-registration form, and bring form to expo.
