Teen Gets Life Plus 205 Years

A jury found Jerry Jerome Kilgore, 18, formerly of Old Mill Road, guilty in the attacks of three women.

A Superior Court judge this morning handed down a life-plus sentence to a teen found guilty of attacking three women last year.

Cherokee Judicial Circuit District Attorney-elect Rosemary Greene said Jerry Jerome Kilgore, 18, received a sentence of life plus 205 years to be served in state prison.

Kilgore, who was charged with raping one woman and attempting to sexually assault another, was in connection with two home invasions. He previously had been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault at Pine Grove Church.

Superior Court Judge Carey Nelson sentenced Kilgore in connection with the July and August 2011 incidents following a four-day jury trial in November.

Greene said the jury "heard from numerous witnesses, including evidence of DNA and fingerprints being present."

Jerry, meet Bubba. Bubba, eat Jerry. I'm sure Jerry wishes he had listened to someone, other than the punks he hung around with, when he was even younger than he is now. What a waste of a life.

there was lots of guidance from both sides of his family. And if you had paid closely attention to the paper while the trial was going on there were forensic testimony that fingerprints and skin dna did not match this kid, also 2 of these women picked other men out of a line up and were 100% & 60% sure. Get All the facts.(pp) and just because someone may say they are family doesn't really mean they Are family....

Jay used to live right next door to me. He never had guidance from parents, he did what he wanted when he wanted. Jay was a good friend at one point, then he started hanging out with gang members. Got in a bit of small trouble, and once he got in a lil hole he kept digging. No one ever cought on that something was wrong and he needed help. I did not like Jerry the last time I saw him. Yet I could never wish such a punishment on no one. He was 17 at the time, and did some ignorant things. I agree he needed dicipline, but life plus 205 years? When he hadn't even began life. I find that harsh.

Another life wasted! Children are a product of their environment. No one ever said that being a parent is easy, it's probably one of the toughest jobs you'll ever do. If parenting is not for you, by all means don't have kids! Children CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT have to raise themselves! I'm sorry for young Jerry Kilgore....his is a life wasted. I will pray for him and for his victims.
