Mayor Tommy Allegood has recently been selected as Cobb Community Foundation's new executive director. Watch the video above to hear what Allegood has to say about his new job and wearing two hats at the same time.
Allegood will be taking over starting March 1 from Sue Wootton, who's moving out of state after having led the foundation for 11 years .
The non-profit organization was founded in 1993, with the mission to promote the importance of effective philanthropy in Cobb County. It oversees 41 family and small-group foundations, and the executive director is the organization’s only paid employee.
