Allatoona Basketball Tournament Starts

Here are five things you need to know before starting your Wednesday.

  • Sunny skies return as temperatures reach 51 degrees with a northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop below freezing tonight as skies will remain mostly clear, with a low around 30 degrees.

  • A grassroots effort has started to generate community input to ask the Cobb County Board of Education to revert back to the balanced calendar for the 2012-13 school year. Acworth Patch will explore the latest chapter in the ongoing controversial calendar issue today.
