Barber Middle School Musicians Perform at Walt Disney World

Chorus, band, and orchestra members from the Acworth school took part in the Disney Performing Arts program earlier this month in Florida.

Patch Staff Report

Members of the Barber Middle School Chorus, Band, and Orchestra became stars of their own Disney show on May 3, 2014 when they entertained resort guests at Downtown Disney. The group traveled from Acworth to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to take part in the Disney Performing Arts program.

Under the direction of Lisa Davidson, Robert Grogan and Mark Burroughs, students entertained a large crowd of Downtown Disney guests with a variety of crowd-pleasing songs including, “Pirates of the Caribbean,”  “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Bublé, and a medley from the Disney movie “The Incredibles.”

This was the group’s ninth visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts program.

Dance, vocal and instrumental ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as a part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
