Students and teachers at took children from needy families on a Christmas shopping spree at in Acworth. The children come from Allatoona's feeder schools. Every child was able to receive $130 to shop for the gifts they wanted for Christmas, and Allatoona Buccaneers raised a majority of the money through fundraisers and donations, and exceeded their initial goal of having $100 to spend on each child.
Shop with a Buccaneer is an event the school started since the very beginning Allatoona opened its doors three years ago, and it has become a tradition for the Bucs every holiday season. More than 170 Allatoona High School students and 61 elementary school children participated in the event this year.
