Acworth Golf Course Among Best

Cobblestone "a worthy value," according to Sports Illustrated/GOLF.com.

If you're visiting metro Atlanta, Acworth's Cobblestone Golf Course is one of four public-access courses you should check out, according to Sports Illustrated/GOLF.com.

"Cobblestone underwent dramatic renovations in 2010 that included entirely new Bermuda greens as well as some additional bunkering," the publication said. "Reviews since have been overwhelmingly positive. While you may not be pulling every club in your bag, eight holes along Lake Acworth, including some daring par 3s, make Cobblestone a worthy value."

Cobblestone was listed alongside Bear's Best Atlanta in Suwanee, The Frog at the Georgian in Villa Rica and Echelon in Alpharetta.

"It is certainly an honor to gain the recognition of SI/GOLF.com as a true public course, with impeccable conditions unrivaled in the area,” Cobblestone General Manager Terry Harnage said in a statement. “Cobblestone has always had great bones, but the recent renovation program has really put a luster on the course…it’s a special place now for Atlanta golfers.”

When I was growing up (in an SBC church) I remember the ushers being told "If a <n-word>Read More tries to come in, lock the doors and we will cancel church". In today's church, just replace <n-word> with "Gay"...
