Allatoona Teams to Play in Semifinals

Another sunny day is in store with the temperature reaching 54 degrees with a calm northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures won’t fall as low as they did Wednesday night as partly cloudy skies will keep the low around 37 degrees.
Both Allatoona High School’s boys and girls basketball teams won their first-round games against North Paulding High squads in convincing fashion Wednesday night at Allatoona’s second annual three-day Lake City Classic Basketball Tournament.
Allatoona’s girls basketball team will take its school-best 10-1 record and play South Atlanta (3-6) at 7 p.m. today in one semifinal of the Lake City Classic Basketball Tournament at Allatoona High School. Allatoona’s 9-2 boys’ squad will play against 8-0 Carrollton at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinals.
