The 11-1 Allatoona Buccaneers were once again the road team as they visited the 11-1 Whitewater Wildcats in Fayetteville on Friday night. The Bucs were a favorite to win the game after a stunning upset of the M.L. King Lions last week. Being the favorite didn't guarantee a victory. Two turnovers and an interception by the Buccaneers gave the Wildcats all the opportunities they would need to to outscore the Bucs 24-3.
The Wildcats ground game, anchored by running backs Christian Walford (7) and Kendall Conley (25) would use a lot of time off the clock, limiting Allatoona's opportunities to score and the Whitewater defense also limited the Buccaneers ground game.
