Chatt Tech Developing Program, Men

In its second year, the college's football team aims for more than a national club championship.

head football coach Tim Freeman hopes to win a national championship in his second year at the college, but that's hardly the peak of his hopes for the program.

Freeman wants to lead the two-year college from the National Club Football Association, in which it enters the year ranked seventh in the nation, to the National Junior College Athletic Association.

That's the pattern for all of the college's athletic programs, college President Sanford Chandler said during a news conference at the college's main campus in Marietta on Wednesday.

That growth not only gains the college and the program more prestige, but it also provides a higher profile for the players to gain the attention of recruiters from four-year colleges.

That fits the goal Chandler expressed for football and all other sports at Chatt Tech: "to give people an opportunity to excel at all areas of their life."
