Friday Preview: 7-AAA Title Game at Allatoona

Allatoona plays at home while North Cobb travels.

Ridgeland (6-3, 5-0) at Allatoona (9-0, 5-0) - Region 7-AAA is split into two subregions of six teams. But only four of the 12 teams will qualify for the playoffs. That’s why, this week, the top teams from each subregion will compete in play-in games. The 7-AAA title game will be held tonight at when the Buccaneers host Ridgeland. Neither team has lost in region play, but Ridgeland has three blemishes outside the Region 7-AAA confines. Allatoona is perfect this year and is ranked fifth in the state.

North Cobb (4-5, 3-3) at Harrison (3-6, 2-4) – There are a number of ways that can qualify for the postseason, but the easiest way is to win tonight at Harrison. If the Warriors win, they’re in. Even with a loss, if South Cobb also loses, North Cobb will participate in the playoffs. Harrison lost for the first time in three weeks last Friday, and can’t qualify for the playoffs. But, the Hoyas can sure play spoiler.
