North Cobb Christian Kicks Off Season at Home

Area private schools gear up for football season in Cobb.

The Eagles start their season with a couple of home games Sept. 6 and 13 vs. Walker and Mt. Zion, respectively. Those games are preceded by a scrimmage at home Aug. 16 that pits North Cobb Christian against Mt. Vernon.

Mt. Paran Kicks Off Season With Home Game Against OLM

The Eagles kick off their season at home Aug. 30 against Our Lady of Mercy. That's followed by another home game Sept. 6 when Mt. Paran hosts Brookstone, and their first away game Sept. 13 at Landmark.

Walker School Kicks Off Season At Temple

The Wolverines start their regular season Aug. 23 at Temple, preceded by a scrimmage Aug 16 at Landmark Christian. Walker has another away game Sept. 6 at North Cobb Christian, with its first home game Sept. 13 hosting Trion.

Meanwhile, the Walker Backers' first meeting is Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Coca-Cola Family Auditorium.

Whitefield Academy Kicks Off Season With Two Home Games

The Wolfpack starts the season with home games Aug. 30 and Sept. 6 against Pace and Riverside Military, respectively. A scrimmage on Aug. 15 pits Whitefield Academy against Our Lady of Mercy, also at home.

The school's website notes that some solid players are expected to fill the gap left by graduating key players.
