North Cobb Looking for Separation

There are three baseball games in Acworth Patch on Tuesday, and none may be bigger than North Cobb at McEachern. The Warriors (9-8, 4-1) are one game ahead of the Indians (4-12, 3-2) in the Region 4-AAAAA standings, and would like to create some separation in the standings with a win.

The Allatoona girls should be favored in the Region 7-AAA tournament, which starts Tuesday in Dalton. They have not lost to a Class 3A team all season. Overall, they are 13-2 on the season.

The Harrison boys are ranked No. 6 in the most recent Class 5A coaches’ poll. The Hoyas earned a bye in the Region 5-AAAAA tournament and begin semifinal play on Tuesday.
