Weekend Pigskin Roundup: Bucs Win 7-AAA Title

Each Monday we'll take a look at what happened on the gridiron over the weekend in Acworth Patch.

Allatoona 28, Ridgeland 7 – Miles Jones rushed for 200 yards on 27 carries, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, and cruised to its first Region 7-AAA title.

The Buccaneers capped a perfect season with the win and will host Franklin County Friday in the first round of the playoffs.

North Cobb 21, Harrison 17 – jumped out to a two-touchdown lead, but had to fight for its playoff life to hold off and win, 21-17, Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

North Cobb knew it controlled its own destiny. That win-and-your-in mentality got the Warriors off to a quick start, but Harrison turned to a power running attack to trim the lead.

The Warriors will travel to Camden County Friday for the first round of the playoffs.
