When Can You Register for the 45th Peachtree Road Race?

Attention, runners everywhere. Registration for the 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race opens Saturday, March 15 at 7 a.m. through an online lottery here.

Those wishing to be one of the 60,000 participants selected for the 45th running of the Fourth of July race have until Saturday, March 22, at 11:59 p.m. to register online.

Regardless of the day or time of registration, all individuals and groups who enter the lottery during the eight day period will have an equal chance of being selected for the race that begins in Buckhead and ends at Midtown's Piedmont Park.

Entrants will be randomly selected after the lottery closes on March 22. All lottery entrants will receive an email by Tuesday, March 25 informing them of whether or not they were selected for the 2014 event.

For those wishing to participate in the AJC Peachtree Road Race with family and friends, the online lottery will allow up to 10 people to enter as a β€œGroup”.

Additional information including registration, start wave placement details and specifics on the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo are available at peachtreeroadrace.org.

Atlanta Track Club stages the event and its members receive an early and guaranteed entry opportunity to register that began on Saturday, March 1.Β 

The race falls on a Friday this year. Entry into the 10K event is $35 for Atlanta Track Club members and $38 for the public, plus applicable online processing fees.

The Atlanta Track Club remarked that the increase in price for the public is due to the costs associated with the enhanced safety and security measures implemented in 2013.
