Acworth to Celebrate MLK With Day of Service
Participants invited to take part on Monday, Jan. 20.
The city of Acworth is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20 with a ceremony and day of service.
The ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. at City Hall and features guest speakers from the community, including City Alderman Tim Houston.
Following the service, the Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program will host its 5th annual MLK Day of Service at the Roberts School Community and Education Center. The program provides middle and high school students service learning projects in addition to educational assistance and recreational activities all year.
