Heritage Presbyterian Church is located about a half mile south of Highway 92 on Bells Ferry Road in Acworth. The church is managed full-time by a staff of four, led by Rev. Sid Gunter, who took the reins at Heritage in 1987. Gunter is a former Georgia Tech football player and a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary. The church's main auditorium features rows of pews which face a main stage that is backed by a small choir loft. The church is a member of the Presbyterian Church USA nationally, and the Cherokee Presbytery locally.

We embrace diversity of Christian thought. We also take seriously Jesus' teachings about standing alongside the poor and the needy. To that end, Heritage hosts a food and clothing bank and a community garden. We are also big into missions - supporting our members as they do ministry in places like North Alabama and at an orphanage in Honduras.
