North Cobb High School, established in 1958, is the largest school in Cobb County. The school's athletic department includes teams in a variety of sports, such as football, basketball, cross-country, swimming and diving and wrestling. Academically, the school also offers a variety of AP courses. Its School for International Studies is Cobb County's only social studies magnet program. The program places an emphasis on culture, science, economics and international politics. The marching band has taken home 50 grand championships since the school was founded.
