North Cobb High School, established in 1958, is the largest school in Cobb County. The school's athletic departmentMore includes teams in a variety of sports, such as football, basketball, cross-country, swimming and diving and wrestling. Academically, the school also offers a variety of AP courses. Its School for International Studies is Cobb County's only social studies magnet program. The program places an emphasis on culture, science, economics and international politics.  The marching band has taken home 50 grand championships since the school was founded.

Pickett's Mill Elementary School is a part of the Cobb County School District, located near Allatoona High School. TheMore school was named after one of the most well-preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation, Pickett's Mill Battlefield Historic Site. Pickett's Mill was established with the goal to relieve the overcrowded conditions at feeder schools in the northwest Cobb area, and was built with funds from SPLOST II. The school was named as one of the "Green Schools" in Cobb County, and serves more than 726 students in grades PK-5. It has two computer labs, two art classrooms, two music classroom, a gym and a well-equipped media center. An after-school program is available for $7 per day with a $10 registration fee.
