A man jumped the counter in the Wade Green Road Rite Aid while brandishing a handgun at an employee.
The Cobb County Police Department is looking for the suspect in a Tuesday night armed robbery at the Wade Green Road Rite Aid. At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man wearing a multi-colored motorcycle helmet, long sleeve gray shirt, blue jeans and black gloves entered the Rite Aid, jumped the counter in the pharmacy area and brandished a handgun at an employee, said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the department. The suspect, a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 white male in his early 20s, was also wearing a green backpack. After receiving an undisclosed amount of various medications, he fled the business in an unknown direction on foot, Bowman said. If you have any information about this incident, call 770-499-3945.

The Acworth Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding the masked gunman who robbed a Subway restaurant Tuesday night. Just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, two employees said an unidentified man dressed in a hooded jacket and a mask entered the Acworth Oaks Drive Subway location, brandished a handgun and demanded money, said Capt. Mark Cheatham, spokesman for the Acworth Police Department. The gunman fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. An Acworth man suspected of robbing a Powder Springs Kroger store Friday afternoon, was apprehended less than an hour later at an ice cream shop in the same shopping center. The man approached a Kroger employee with a knife and took an undisclosed amount of money, said Cobb Police spokesman Officer Mike Bowman. The robbery was called in to Cobb 911 at 1:41 p.m., Bowman said. "He was seen running from the store and was apprehended at the Baskin-Robbins in the same shopping center at 2:29 p.m.," Bowman said.
