Warrant: Husband Leaves Injured Wife at Scene of Accident
He was arrested Friday morning on charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless conduct and failure to report an accident with injury/death/damage.
Marietta attorney Charles G. Harbin Jr., who represents Jeremiah D. Reed, said his client "did not leave his injured wife at the scene of the accident. Instead, he picked her up, placed her in his pick-up truck and drove her to his home and called 911 while en route. The basis for the duty to report accident charge is that he drove away from the location where the incident initially occurred not that he left his wife there." An Acworth woman got out of a moving Chevy Silverado sometime between 11:53 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday, and her husband allegedly left his injured wife on McClure Road without calling 911. what ever the other details are right or wrong I think the bottom line is DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE cause accidents happened it is illegal to be drunk behind the wheel of a vehicle suppose he would have accidentally run over her head and killed her it could have been much worse saying I am sorry would have not been enough no matter how nice of a person you are or how much you love them.   more ›
