Allatoona Falls Short of Perfect Record
The Bucs lose their first regular season game since November 2010.
More than just the County Line Treasure Chest was on the line Friday night as the Allatoona Buccaneers visited the Boneyard, the home of the East Paulding Raiders. Both Region 5-AAAAA teams were undefeated and the Region Championship would go to the winner. Allatoona took the opening kickoff and got to work at its own 23-yard line. Driving the ball down the field through the air and on the ground, the opening drive looked promising. But the Raider defense stopped the Buccaneers on the East Paulding 20. Allatoona had to settle for a field goal attempt. Nathan Shaw pulled the kick just left of the upright. The attempt was no good.
