'Paperwork' Highlights Teachers' Artistic Talents

Gallery 4463's first exhibition of 2011 comes from the faculty of Kennesaw State University.

Gallery 4463's first show of the new year, Paperwork, opened Saturday night. The show, put together by faculty from Kennesaw State University, adds another layer of variety to the gallery's cornucopia of paintings and sculptures by local artists. Clemens Bak, the executive director of Gallery 4463, "gave us real short notice,” said Don Robson, curator of the Paperwork exhibition. Robson and a few of his colleagues pooled their talents and expertise and constructed many varied pieces. Ben Goldman used the boards of board games such as Monopoly as a canvas on which to make social commentary; the Monopoly piece criticizes the “I want it now” mentality inherent in Monopoly and modern American life.
