Cops: K-9 Detects Drugs During Acworth Traffic Stop
Two men are being held in the Acworth City Jail on various charges.
Two men who were pulled over in Acworth are in the City Jail after a K-9 dog detected various drugs inside the vehicle. Michael Gerald Shatus of Hiram faces five charges, including marijuana possession, intent to distribute and three violations of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. Nicholas Leopold Brown of Acworth faces one felony violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. According to criminal warrants, an officer stopped the car on Baker Road just before 4 p.m. Saturday because of a defective taillight lense, a cracked windshield and the tint of the windows.
