Acworth Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
Scott Finnell was 44 years old.
The Cobb County Police Department has identified the motorcyclist killed Tuesday night when he struck a concrete retaining wall on Cheatham Road between Deer Valley Drive and Old Stilesboro Road in Acworth. Investigators suspect that excessive speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors in the crash that killed Scott Finnell, who apparently lost control of a black 2011 Harley Davidson Electra Glide while riding southbound on Cheatham Road at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Dana Pierce, spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department. Finnell, 44, of Acworth, died at the scene. What a huge loss for the oasis although I had only met Scott a few times he was always laughing always joking with people out of all the things I ever heard about him not one comment was ever bad.
