Enjoy an Olympic themed parade to kick off the Labor Day festivities and a new Warrior Way 5K to support your local school.
Acworth has a lot to offer when it comes to Labor Day weekend fun. The City of Acworth will be hosting the Love the Lake Parade on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 9:30 a.m. on Main Street in downtown Acworth. This year’s theme is Go for the Gold: Celebrating the Olympics. Local businesses, schools and civic groups will get a chance to show off their specialty vehicles, mascots, or floats to compete for prizes. First place will be awarded $275, and there will be $150 for second place and $75 for third for float entries that reflect this year's theme.
