Bio Angela is a journalist with a strong passion for storytelling and producing compelling multimedia content. Determined to pursue a career in journalism from the beginning of her undergraduate studies at Washington State University, Angela has four years of experience in television, and has worked in various newsrooms as both a reporter and a producer in the State of Washington, Missouri, and Washington, DC.

In August 2010, Angela received her master's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Prior to joining Patch in 2010 as an editor, she worked with CNN in Washington, DC on the newsgathering frontline, and spent two years working as a reporter and newscast producer for KOMU 8 TV - the NBC Affiliate in Columbia, Missouri.

Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for editors to inject their beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that editors' beliefs are on the record will cause them to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. I'm a devout Christian-Protestant with great respect for people who have different beliefs.
