Allatoona High School's Coach Markus Hood achieved a career milestone with his 200th win on Jan. 20 as a basketball head coach with a 84-50 win over region foe Cedartown.

Hood was recognized with a surprise presentation on Tuesday before Allatoona varsity teams took on Gilmer County. In attendance was his wife, Alyssa, Mother and son. A plaque to to commemorate the win was presented to by Assistant Coach Nicholas Estes, who has been with Hood for most of those 200 wins. 

The 2011-12 school year marks Hood's 12th season as a varsity basketball head coach and his fourth season as Allatoona's first head coach.

The Bucs reached the sweet 16 last year in the school's first state playoff run. With Tuesday's win over Gilmer County, the Bucs remain undefeatd in the region this season.
