The Pajama Program is a New York City based non-profit organization that helps collect and provide new pajamas and books for needy children. Most of the children in the program live in orphanages, group homes and shelters. The program mission is to give these children the opportunity to enjoy "the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime and read to them."

The organization has given out more than one million pajamas and books to children in need nationwide, according to its website.
