Sheriff: Acworth Burglar Sold Valuables to Pawn Shop

An Acworth man was arrested in connection with a residential burglary in Cartersville.

Flat screen TVs, Xbox games, jewelry, and a compound bow and shotgun are some of the valuables an Acworth man is accused of plundering from a Cartersville home.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office investigators Monday arrested 20-year-old Malcolm Ellis Oliver in connection with the alleged Feb. 10 burglary of an Oakridge Drive home. Oliver sold some of the property he took in the suspected break-in to a local pawn shop, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a press release.

Authorities say in addition to recovering stolen property at the store, they found valuables taken in the burglary at Oliver's Cardinal Way home when he was arrested.
