Setzler Strongly Opposes TSPLOST

State Rep. Ed Setzler, who represents Acworth and Kennesaw, says that voters need to "untie the truth" about the July 31 transportation referendum.

by Ed Setzler, Georgia House District 35 Representative

Dear Friends,

Many of you continue to contact me about your serious concerns over the July 31 transportation referendum. I want to be very clear that passage of this tax will mean pouring billions into wasteful economic development projects that will do virtually nothing to address our traffic problems.

Don't be fooled by the multi-million dollar advertising campaign. Help your friends and family members to Untie the Truth by sharing the links to these 1-2 minute videos that highlight a few of the serious fallacies of the July 31 TSPLOST referendum:

  1. Why all of these advertisements?
  2. Why spend tax payer money on special interest projects when traffic relief is what we need?
  3. Why consume billions on new rail lines when express busses are so much more efficient?

At a cost of more than $3,500 per household over 10 years, I urge you to do your homework on the TSPLOST vote and contact me at 770-420-0520 if you have questions.

It continues to be an honor to serve you in the Georgia legislature.

Ed Setzler

Georgia House of Representatives
