Getting into Characters for Black History Month

First graders at McCall Primary School celebrated Black History Month through a wax museum performance.

Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, are some of the characters you could find in the wax museum at . First grade students taught by their class teacher Carrie Dunn took two weeks to research on some of the most well-known and significant African Americans in the nation's culture and put on six wax museum shows in a day to celebrate Black History Month. The 6 and 7 year olds were well dressed in costumes, and performed in front of dozens of parents and students from other classes at the school.
